About the Event

We've been gearing up to watch 2040 film since we first heard about it, and we want to watch with YOU! Forget the doom & gloom, it's time we start creating the brighter future that is totally within our reach. Let's imagine a new world and build it together, but first...let's watch together!

Award-winning director Damon Gameau (That Sugar Film) embarks on a journey to explore what the future could look like by the year 2040 if we simply embraced the best solutions already available to us to improve our planet and shifted them rapidly into the mainstream. Structured as a visual letter to his 4-year-old daughter, Damon blends traditional documentary with dramatised sequences and high-end visual effects to create a vision board of how these solutions could regenerate the world for future generations.

The film screening will be followed by a facilitated discussion about the tangible steps that we can all take to build a better future.

Once you register for this event, we will send you the information for how to access the screening and discussion on your home computer or phone.

All profits will be donated to the Bruce Trail Conservancy. Suggested $5/person donation for registration.

Hosted in collaboration with Leslieville Reduces, Beaches Reduces and Kingston Rd. Reduces.
